Cyber Security

The Cyber Security engineers at AVW assess and compile a clear and comprehensive understanding of the security posture of an organization's information systems and computing environment. We follow DIACAP and deliver the services needed for the security accreditation of an information system that are developed during a detailed security review of the system, typically referred to as security certification - a comprehensive assessment of the system's management, operational, and technical security controls.

Aegis BMD

AVW has supported the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Ballistic Missile Defense System Operational Test Agent (BMDS OTA) and Commander, Operational Test and Evaluation Force (COMOPTEVFOR) in the evaluation and assessment of the Aegis BMD Weapons System and its integration with the national BMDS. AVW performed analysis of Aegis BMD to complete the capability declaration of the Phased Adaptive Approach (PAA) Phase 1 to support BMD of our European Allies. Our engineering expertise has been essential in identifying issues and determining the appropriate course of corrective action. In addition, AVW has been instrumental in the development of the Aegis BMD portion of BMDS OTA Team's Annual Assessment to DOT&E and Congress.

The AVW Technologies team brings together a cost effective, successful Navy and Joint planning, execution, reporting, and program management team to provide an effective engineering based strategy with the goal of resolving Critical Operational Issues (COI), Primary Assessment Objectives (PAO), Measures of Effectiveness (MOE), Measures of Performance (MOP) and associated objectives efficiently and expeditiously. This integrated effort promotes cost avoidance by maximizing efficiencies in schedules and resources, while successfully accomplishing acquisition milestones.

Counter Improvised Explosive Devices

The Team at AVW provides engineering services to the Naval Research Laboratory in its efforts supporting development of warfighter tools used to counter Improvised Explosive Devices (IED). Our efforts focus on the development of the Counter Radio-Controlled Electronic Warfare-IED (CREW-IED) simulation, its Verification, Validation Accreditation (VVA), and its use in the conduct of simulation based engineering analysis.
